Reviews for Billy Strings: 7/30/2022 TCU Amphitheater at White River State Park, Indianapolis, IN

Excellent show and crowd. I asked my gf to marry me right between Billy’s solo set and when the rest of the band went back on stage lights were up and the only time the music stopped for a minute. She said yes. Alex rules

Indianapolis brought it and Billy felt it and gave it right back. His love for music and his fans with that solo acoustic set was an all timer. Whatever Billy was dealing with there, he got it out and we were lucky to witness his magic. All hail our Lord and Savior Billy Strings. Highway was one of the many highlights. There was a clear message from the first song that Billy was conveying to us that we as humans need to do better with this planet. Truly SPECIAL human being.

Melodic jam that ensues In Highway Hypnosis is one of the best jams I’ve ever heard. Amazing improv and a beautiful jam <3

We would all love all of that white line fever.

Beginning of the second set was good, up until the Home/Tentacle combination. I always prefer to hear the three minute bluegrass song to a 20 minute jam though. Also, is there a reason the posters are hard to purchase? Can you not print more than 500 per show? I’d like a keepsake to remember that I attended since I can’t save a ticket stub like the good old days. I’m not going to line up for hours at the merch table or pay a ridiculous mark up on eBay.

Was a magical 2 night run with my 21 yr old son. Had pit night #2 and was on the rail for The Cuckoo. Can't describe how great it was. That massive hogleg jay was the bestest! The days of seeing Billy in small venues will be over soon. He's just getting too big. Thankful I have witnessed several now because those boys put on the best shows out there!

Glad this is up now, I’ve been to a lot of shows by a lot of different bands over a crap ton too many years and that was one of, if not THEE, best concert experiences of my life. Great weather, great crowd, great venue and some goddamn good ole boot stomping, tie-dye twirling jamgrass. No set break “set” was a pure treat but the rest of it wasn’t too shabby either. Mind melted twice I think during Hypnosis. And the banjo stops on Wargasm still give me goosebumps. Sign me up for any BMFS show I can get to within reason for life after that one.
