Reviews for Jerry Garcia Band: 2/13/1976 GarciaLive Volume 21: Keystone, Berkeley, CA

This is a truly beautiful show. I am new to this music, and I love the sound…how soulful and relaxed it feels to listen to. I wish all the “whoo’s” were absent, as it’s definitely distracting.

I agree and love all these reviews here. I echo the comment about the Moonlight Mile. This was and is one of my favorite tunes from Sticky Fingers and I've NEVER heard Jerry play this! This whole show has Jerry and the band on fire. 1976 was a very special period for Jerry in that the Dead were still mostly 'on sabbatical' and Jerry was doing his own solo work both in the studio and on the road. He was relaxed, energized, and playing with a gentle, lilting, and oh so soulful style. AND! the Travis Bean!!!

Have listened to all these Jerry releases and love them all. This one is extra special. The opening Catfish John is superb, and The Jimmy Cliff Harder They Come is pure magic....
