Reviews for Grateful Dead: 8/27/1972 Sunshine Daydream, Veneta, OR

Could be the best show ever.? Maybe. Best Dark Star, PITB, those are great , but Jack Straw is phonomenal on this too. China Cat > Rider is great here too, bird song, he’s gone. The playing here is truly inspirational and really felt like they were in the zone jamming, not just psychedelic-y style. They’re really giving it their 110%. This Dark Star goes places, the bass and drums section and intro jam really take this version to the darkest star possible and make it scary. Way deeper than type 2. Playin in the band is a great full band jam with nice piano playing from keith. Jerry sounds great too and everyone else makes a huge effort. Vocally, musically, everyone is on point here. Not a moment to miss or to be wasted

If I had the proverbial time machine with the opportunity to attend one show in the tripping flesh….this is the one.

Still the best concert recording in existence.

Of course the best Playin'. This show has it all. Beautiful.
